July
After a lull in activity for the Heavy Weapons Team (HwT), Light Infantry Division (LiD) and Project Reality team (PR), they've finally got something to do since their respective seasons ended in April, May and December. Firstly, there has been a few changes in the Gamearena (GA) large format ladder this Season 8. The mod that was previously used, the Point of Existance (PoE) mod, has been replaced by a new mod called the GAS8 mod which is vanilla-like. The PoE mod will be sorely missed by us here at *AUS*. Another change in the ladder has been the reduction in team sizes, where the previously 14v14 format has been dumbed down to 12v12.
Thus HwT had their first match against Team eXile6 (x6). LiD on the other hand continue their participation in the 10v10 ladder with the same mod and format with their first match this Season 7 played against Gungrave Warriors (!GuN!). Mixed results there with a lose and a win respectively. The PR team began the Season 2 of the BigD ladder with the new PR 0.869 that significantly impacted the gameplay through kit changes and improved weaponry. Their opponent in the opening match was death Inc (=]DI[=), who they beat in the hotly-contested-as-always Muttrah City.
As for our Gamespace (GS) team, they had their hands full this month playing matches against ReFoundglory (=RFG=), 1st Commando Regiment (AEF), Army Of Reckless Killers ({ARK}) and AK-101 (AK-101) where they achieved three victories and a loss - a very tight game - which were GG's all around.
In other news, BF: Heroes has caught some attention within the clan, with our senior grunt Extractor saying "...it's good for a laugh..." and clan founder Camouflage giving it one thumb up: "Best free game since Enemy Territory, but needs more maps."
Lastly, our old mate FatC0ntr0ller from Canberra has been AFK from the clan and BF2 for a long while now as he's been working on his production company, Red Bandit Productions, where he has written and is about to direct a short film titled 'Red' at the end of the month. Feel free to leave a comment and/or order the pre-sales DVD @ blog.redbanditproductions.com and we wish him the best of luck! |
