*AUS*:LiD vs SiR -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Friday, August 31 2007 |
Last night the 10v10 *AUS*:LID team were defeated by SiR -Strength in Randoms by 23 tickets.
As USMC LID played very offensively but our rollout got smashed real fast. We regrouped and capped a flag to stop the bleed. We were down by 60+ tickets and seemed to be steady at that for a while. We made the call to try a bail and cap another flag. We greyed a few flags and capped one once (got recapped real quick) but in the end it just cost us tickets and in hindsight could have made the difference of a win in the end. Final round loss 94-0
As MEC, we dug in and waited for the enemy to bail a squad over our flags. Unfortunatley for them they landed their squad leaders in poor places and were quickly defeated. After our opponents rollouts failed they tried to hit the one flag with everyone they had and after a tough fight they got their flag and stopped the bleed. For a while there it looked like we might be in with a chance but SiR played it smart and conserved their tickets. Final round win for AUS LiD 71-0.
Thanks SiR for a tough game. I look forward to playing you guys again. Final match victory to SiR 94-71. |
*AUS*:WC vs WWoy (2142) -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Friday, August 31 2007 |
On Wednesday the 29th of August the *AUS* 'Wrecking Crew' took on -{Wwoy}- (otherwise known as woy woy)
The news was that the game was to be shoutcasted, excited but nervous we took to the game with good times expected. With a genius strategy that has been formulated over months of planning we headed into the battleground of ‘Minsk’.
First round as EU we pulled off a perfect defence holding all our flags without a glitch. *AUS* taking the round 128-0
Then as PAC woy woy held a strong defence, however woy woy were loosing tickets fast and taken by the ticket loss in the second round. Eventually we broke down the defence by trial and error attacks of the *AUS* boys. Eventually taking the cap out *AUS* taking it again 14-0
Thanks Wwoy for the game
And thankyou momo&sicko for the shoutcast
Final score for *AUS* 142 |
*AUS*:LiD vs PAus -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Wednesday, August 29 2007 |
On Sunday night the 26th the 10v10 *AUS*:LID team defeated Project Aus by 178 tickets.
As USMC LID played very offensively and our rollout went according to plan. It wasn't long before we took 2 of the 3 enemy flags and held on to them for the entire round. We kept their jet from gettting off the grouind many times and even stole it once. PAUS tried a few times to get behind us and retake flags but the LID team reacted quickly and were able to stop our opponents assaults.
As MEC, we dug in and waited for the enemy to bail a squad over our flags. Unfortunatley for them they landed their squad leaders in poor places and were quickly defeated. After our opponents rollouts failed they tried to hit the one flag with everyone they had but LID poored into vehicles and moved to intercept fast enough to protect our flags and secure victory.
Thanks Project AUS for a fun game. See you next time. |

On Tues night (21st) the 10v10 *AUS*:LID team were defeated by Clan Equilibrium by 250 tickets.
We played on Zatar wetlands and started as MEC. Our rollout was smashed and after repeated co-ordinated attempts to move 2 squads backed by armour into that center island, we were well and truely beat.
As USMC our rollout got smashed again and so being fully aware of the inevitable loss we decided to have some fun and snipe/c-4 and just general mayhem. Disappointing to loose but we were still high from our previous weeks victory.
Thanks EQ for a very tough game. You reminded us of how bad things can go when your rollouts fail. See you next time. |
*AUS*:LiD v BOTM -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Thursday, August 16 2007 |
Last night the 10v10 *AUS*:LID team defeated Brotherhood of the Mercenary by 7 tickets.
As USMC LID played very offensively and our rollout went according to plan. It wasn't long before Botm counter attacked and fought hard to get the bleed off. We were well on our way to a comfortable win (30-40 tickets up) when BoTM co-ordinated well, pushed hard and turned the bleed against us. Flags went up and down and after many attempts we finally regained lost ground and finished round one with a modest 11 point lead.
As MEC, our rollout did not go according to plan. BOTM were absolutely determined to beat us and kept the pressure on. Their Jihad jeep took out our armour half a dozen times, their co-ordinated assaults on flags smashed us and we were 30-40 tickets down half way through the second round. Our team regrouped, focused and were determined not to go down without a fight. We retook lost ground and got the bleed off and held our ground. BOTM tried many times to retake flags but thanks to some fast redeployment on the ground, LID lost the round by only 4 points, giving us the MATCH victory by 7.
Thanks BoTM for the best game we have had all season. Well done to LID for great teamwork and a final score of 11-4. |
*AUS*:LiD v RAAF -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Thursday, August 16 2007 |
On Wed night (8th) the 10v10 *AUS*:LID team were defeated by RAAF by 141 tickets.
This will be a short write up cause theres not too much to say. We had a bad night. Raaf were very aggresive and pushed us back wherever we were. They got into our bases early and kept the pressure on and capped us out in the first round.
Second round I thought we might loose respectfully (if there is such a thing) but RAAF were relentless and although we fought better in the secound round, were were simply beat by a better strat and execution.
Thanks RAAF for a very tough game. More lessons were learnt from this one and we hope to play you again sometime and return the favour. |
*AUS* vs AEF 1CR -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Sunday, August 5 2007 |
Out of the finals in seaosn 3 but still in the game as AEF 1st Commando Reg challenged *AUS* to a shootout on the Zatar Wetlands map.
Rollout out in defence as MEC we took centre island and our two back flags and began to put our jet and attack helo to work and despite some good attacks on the central island flag AEF went down against the clock and under massive ticket bleed due to the assets *AUS* had in hand.
Round two was much the same however AEF managed some sneeky moves into our back flags which kept us guessing but were unable to secure them for too long.
Final score was 277 to *AUS* GG AEF - cya next season |
*AUS*:LiD vs Black Knights -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Sunday, August 5 2007 |
On Saturday night the 10v10 *AUS*:LID team defeated Black Knights 667th by 148 tickets.
As USMC LID played very offensively but our rollout was pushed back by the 667th. Fortunetly we had a 'PLAN B' up our sleeve and our quick redeployment meant that our intial loss of ground was quickly recovered. Excellent work from all aspects of the team meant that once we had the bleed and the upper hand, we didn't let it go. First round score 88-0.
As MEC, our rollout did not go according to plan. We were on the backfoot and were bleeding heavy for a little while. Our opponent had the high ground and were keeping our armour pinned. Some very quick thinking and good co-ordination from all squads meant we were successful in taking the third flag and turning around the bleed. A few flags were lost and retaken, greyed and hard fought over, until we pushed the 667th back to their base and held them there. Secound round score 60-0.
Thanks 667th for a very tough game. Well done to LID for great teamwork and a final score of 148-0. |
