June
Lid season 7 starts late in the month and AUS hits the ground running winning 2 out of 3 matches played firstly in a tough match against pz with AUS coming back in the second to win by a capout. 6v6 is bizzy this month with some impressive wins against some tough opposition, under new leadership of temple and blood the team exceeds all expectations and once again secures a spot in the finals. Aus 6v6 win there first finals match and start preparations for the next game which is due to be played early next month.
PR is still in a holding pattern waiting on a new patch and modifications to the BIG D ladder software. HWT waits on changes to the GA ladder, with a disappointing end to the poe format which struggled to gain interest from the community. Admins step in and change format to 12v12 on 32p maps, format is returned to vanilla, small changes made to the maps to suit the decrease in team size. Ladder is due to reopen early next month.
Gamespace ladder reopens late in the month, the 8v8 format is removed and the preferable 10v10 is reintroduced. Dward steps into the captains seat whilst Mr.Aussiedevil is away at sea. The GS team wins both of it's matches held this month and once again proving to the other competitors that they are the team to beat. Also to note is with the reduction of new recruits the Gamespace team finally shakes it's status as the training team. New and old members rally together to support not only this side but all actively competing teams. With the exception of PR all notions of team only players disappears and AUS as a clan moves on more unified than it has been for quite some time.
In house Battle racer comp comes to a end with Dward snatching the victory from Jaydageezers clutches and taking home the gold via accumulated points. Unlucky for Jay who had accumulated a hefty lead over the whole season but was denied victory due to rules which only counted a certain amount of races and not points collected over the whole series. Better luck next time champ.
With a few more recruits passing trial and a few more in the door, AUS is still cruising strong. With the officer group reduced to 3, Helo, Jay and I are managing well but on the lookout for fresh 'blood' to enjoy the privelege of leading and the generous pay and benefits being an officer can bring. Things are statrting to get busy again and AUS looks forward to a great July.
