*AUS*:LiD v JRKY -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Monday, June 25 2007 |
Last night the 10v10 *AUS*:LID team defeated JRKYBOYS by 39.
Both rollouts went perfectly for LID, and we secured the areas we wanted first. JRKYBOYS were relentless in their assaults but the LID team stood their ground and were gained a lot of tickets from the JRKYBOYS repeated attacks. In the first round we were up by about 80 tickets when JRKYBOYS decided to do a 'all or nothing' rambo to cap us out. They came at us from all sides and LID were in a state of shock when JRKY pulled off the impossible and capped us out.
We started the second round with a few concerns after the surprise cap out and we had to win by 37 tickets to take the match. We made a last minute change to our strat and went into the second round more determined than ever to win. JRKY assaulted our base constantly and if it was not for the very fast redeployment of armour over and over again, we would have lost our main base. A great game, hard fought with a few surprises that kept us on our toes.
Thanks JRKYBOYS for a great game. Congratulations to the LID team who trained hard and deserved the win. |
*AUS* v +SiN+ on FuShee -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Thursday, June 21 2007 |
Last night the +SiN+ clan defeated AUS on fushee pass in a game where we were haunted by technical problems and went in under manned and with Helo from LiD stepping up to the plate as commander until Ugg got in. Anyway as China we started we lost the chopper early and so most of the interesting fighting happened around the 2 mine flags.
The same in reverse happened as USMC and losses both rounds in the area of 30 tickets each meant a loss 77.
Getcha next time +SiN+ |
*AUS*:LiD v UBIK -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Monday, June 11 2007 |
Lastnight the 10v10 AUS LID team played UBIK on Karkand.
As USMC and our rollout went well. We got behind UBIK into Market a few times but their counter-attacks kept us from securing the flag. We pushed onto hotel and then square. We tried to box them into market but they did a good job busting out a few times. Flags went up and down and UBIK won the round 0-20.
As MEC are rollout went according to plan. We deployed around hotel and managed to hold them out of the city for a lot longer than expected. Our guys held their ground well but a determined and co-ordinated push by UBIK riverside saw them break into hotel and then square. UBIK successfully boxed us in to Market. They made a few attempts to cap us out but LID worked hard in the defence and although we only had the one flag we were up by 20 tickets or so for most of the round. Our KDR's were good but a cap out had to be avoided and so we made a number of attempts to bust out. We made it to square and hotel but to UBIK's credit they redeployed well and kept us boxed in. UBIK made a serious assault on Market and capped us out for a final round score of 50-0. Match to UBIK by 70 tickets. |
*AUS* v NSOF -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Sunday, June 10 2007 |
Tonight AUS played NSOF on the Gulf of Oman and we certainly learned what these guys can do on the ground. First round as MEC we got control of the sky early but lost the battle on the ground when we saw our construction flag go grey before our roll-out had a chance to make any headway on the beach head. About 50 tickets later we lost control of the sky and the inevitable airfield base rape kicked into action and we patiently waited the round out and eventually lost out by 142 when there seemed to be more USMC players in the MEC airfield then MEC guys. We kind of expected the loss as MEC but that figure had us concerned going into the second round.
Round two again we secured control of the sky quickly but lost the battles we picked on the ground and it wasn't long before all AA guns had MEC people on them and down came our flyboys. Then next thing we knew we had only the carrier. Many times we got squad leaders onto the ground but every piece of NSOF armour was on the hunt and smashed us before we could secure a foot hold.
Overall NSOF took the round out with a very comfortable 270 tickets. Well done guys. LAG was an issue again – both teams suffered of course but itd be nice to play without lag... |
*AUS* vs BnG -- Posted by Lord_Barra on Monday, June 4 2007 |
Tonight *AUS* played BnG on Karkand and with the grand final loss on this map fresh in our minds we worked a new strat and were keen to turn our recent record around.
We rolled out as USMC first and grabbed Gatehouse after a bit of a struggle and held it for the rest of the round. Pushing hard for capout up until we realised we werent going to get it and by that time we didnt have the tickets left to make enough of a lead through kills and the round ended in our favour by only 5 tickets.
Round two we braced for BnG's USMC attack and held them out for probably 10 tickets on the flag bleed before they took Square. Hotel then fell quickly and the Market flag went up down for each colour countless times that round. AUS held Gatehouse and Train and 'Burbs and so it turned into a big shootout around square and market, with BnG still holding that flag. Arty all over the place wasnt enough to sweep BnG off the rooftops or out of the Square and so the tickets slowly dropped. BnG doing a fantastic job outkilling us and took the round out with 61 tickets.
So all up, BnG are the victors with a comfortable 56 tickets on the board. GG guys, we certainly learned a lot from this game. Cya next time |
