Time for another weekly update Some more good wins on the board for *AUS* as all our active teams work on improving ladder position as the season that each team is playing in nears the end.
Our 16v16 team has challenged up for a game against DNA on Sharqi Peninsula tonight at 10pm, other than that there has been no official ladder activity although we have scrimmed for a win and found some new confidence on this map in preparation for tonight. This map has been cruel to us over the years, it is time we got some loving back and I hope tonight is the night that we fight it. A win will put us in 4th spot on the ladder and secure a finals position for season 5 when the ladder locks next week. A loss will make us vulnerable for 2 days and slightly reduce our chances for a guaranteed finals spot – but not by much. I think it is safe to say that we will once again be fighting in finals games again this season. Wish us luck
Our Lid Team has gone on to win another game against Flank-n-Shank, increasing the winning margin from 171 to 190 and doing *AUS* proud. There were two other games since the ubik game that never got played – forfeits on tam OSU-Hobo-ACB Fortified clan and the BNG clan also failed to show. It is unfortunate but natural that some clans are struggling to find numbers for games as Battlefield 2 starts to get very long in the tooth. As LiD climb higher on the ladder to where the more active teams are this should prove to be less of a problem.
Our SF team, Cannon Fodder, have secured yet another win in the Special forces comp run by Adsa. This time against a clan from way back in BF2 history, Junglist Massive. Our boys secured another convincing win and remain in the top position of this ladder.
The 2142 ladder is still in freeplay mode but this will change shortly. Team captains have been asked to submit votes on the rules for next season, unlocks and team sizes being the main issues, a good thing to note too is that the RDX on jeeps to take out walkers and tanks will cost teams a forfeit now, this has been a big issue for the 2142 ladder and it is good to get a clear ruling on this type of gameplay that can ruin competitive play. So hopefully we will see that team getting in the action and some news results posted once again.

Update time Recently our website failed and we lost a news posting or two so ill just do a quick update of whats happened since the OL and AvA games:
10v10, our Light Infantry Division team has had a few wins in a row, the roster shows four. TOG Vampires forfeited a game against us as did Team Osu-Hobo-Acb clan. Flank-n-Shank did actually show up for a game however and our LiD boys took them down by 171 tickets. Next up was clanUBIK who went down to our LiD boys by 106 tickets. So two good wins there.
16v16 our Heavy Weapons Team has also won the past 2 games, significant wins actually against top clans, the recent losses were no fun with anyone sporting *AUS* tags and so it was good to put some more scores in the win column. 272 against BNG and then 257 against the NSOF clan who wanted blood after we have taken them down in some critical games in the past.
Our 8v8 special forces team under the Cannon Fodder banner also chalked up a number of wins, one agains the Aussie Underdogs clan on the ever popular Warlords map, and another on the Iron Gator map against TOG.
So all in all its been a successful couple of weeks across the whole clan.
Helo unfortunately for the clan, has had to take some time for real world commitments and so has stepped down from an officer position. We havnt lost him though, in fact he will now probably have more time for games without having to share in the hassel of clan management and so can focus on his clan time on developing his commander skills which played a big part in our successful game in defence against NSOF.
umm i think that is it hopefully the site wont fail again because i dont want to have to write the same news article for a third time :)
