Stiiixy Retires -- Posted by DSL on Saturday, December 21 2002 |
In what would have to be the most uneventful career in *AUS*, our 2ic has decided to call it a day, citing a life as his main reason for quitting. Here is an extract of what Stiiixy posted in the private section of our forum:
"Okay guys. Gonna keep this short and sweet, because I only know a couple of you'se even semi-personally and so wont mean shit no matter how much I say
I quit.
I'm never around, I got shithouse net.conn and I fuckin' hate clerical work. On top of that I gotta get more work, a women to piss me off and save my pittance for a noo car. No time for stuffin' around with games on the net. While I'd like to say I've had a good time playing '42, mostly I just just been a pain in everyones arse because I can't
.........auf wiedersehen guys. I'll be seeing you'se around. "
Good luck with your future my friend. You're always welcome back and hopefully one day you'll have a job so you can afford broadband. Then I'll come over to your joint and have spit roasts with you and your missus (the dinner variety of course), mmmm just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
Despite only managing to participate in 2 matches, it was off the field where you contributed most. Helping me out with admin duties with the site and forum in the initial stages of the clan. You were a great help, then you just disappeared! Gee we had some good fun with those death match rallies and base jumping servers I'd host with you, me and ST. I have honestly got a tear in my eye as I write this.
Just a bit of trivia. You were the first to receive the *AUS* Morale Medal and to this date the only person to receive it. You're a well liked and respected person around here and we'll miss you big time.
Thanks for your service Stiiixy and it was with my pleasure that I name you our first Honorary Member, meaning you don't have to do jack shit, but you've still got access to the forum and can come and prac or even play with us on the odd occasion if you find the time!
Rub you rong time soldier boy. |
