*AUS* '42 merges with Kriegbr�der -- Posted by DSL on Sunday, October 31 2004

It's official, our vanilla squad has merged with the Kriegbr�der clan. Kriegbr�der were a well respected and skilled team in their day and hopefully their bums on seats will help our teams to survive and proliferate for a long time to come. Our old GA team will be sunk as will the old Kriegbr�der and we'll start a new united team from scratch. The name of our team will be *AUS*: Kriegbr�der. We'll still wear the *AUS* tag and maintain our forum and server facilities in the name of *AUS*.

CaptTerrific was promoted to Captain for DC and SgtBarney passed his trial and is now a Private.

In an effort to bolster our BF42 team, we'll be announcing 2 new leaders soon, a Lieutenant and a Sergeant.

*AUS* have replaced the folded clan Tactical Retribution (R.I.P) in the 8vs8 GamingSA.com Battlefield 1942 tournament. Our first match is against TOG on Battleaxe, Sunday 24th October 2004!

In other news, we recently promoted a couple of members, The Rock to Corporal and Tom to Lance Corporal. We also inducted some trial members to full member status, they include: Bent Chopper Pilot, ColKlacker, Vasilli, IvoMan, MrMulla and Knives.

We'll be having another batch of promotions pretty soon, including the induction of a few more triallies to full members as well as announcing a new Captain. So stay tuned!
