GA match vs Jungle Wraiths -- Posted by bullitmagnet on Sunday, January 21 2007 |
Another win on the board for *AUS* as the second season of the 16v16 continues.
Tonight we battled [JW] for control of the Karkand streets and with the Gamestah's ‘Harry and Momo Show’ shout casting the game we were keen to impress.
As we were challenged by [JW], Karkands was ours to defend first as MEC. We played a pretty aggressive strat which bled [JW] around 30 tickets before they took their first flag at market. The game rolled out pretty standard and we won the first round by 76 tickets.
Round two as MEC we tried a whole new strat which paid off nicely for us, the strat was actually about 3 stages in execution which played out throughout the game and required a bit of co-ordination that went off without a hitch. end score for round two was 84-0.
Thanks again [JW] – we were a little surprised you challenged us so quickly after our last game but that’s what happens I guess when the ladder is booked solid.
Hopefully *AUS* can now continue its ascent into the pointy end of this ladder without too many more games in defense.

db chopper challange -- Posted by bullitmagnet on Thursday, January 18 2007 |
Round 2 of the DeltaBrotherhood chopper only ladder played out tonight for the *AUS*Flyboys in the skies above dalian plant.
The Lost Division team drew their first game against RSS and so we were on our toes for a tight game.
First round as china went well for us though we were taken a little by surprise by just how high they flew in for our first engagement. Not sure exactly what happened there but myself and Bullitmagnet were shot down and so we were a little worried about how the game started. We managed to recover and took the round out 16 to 4. All four deaths for round one in the *AUS* team were bullit and I.... damnit.. -{LD}-crimson06 is a good gunner!
Round 2 followed the script perfectly and we managed a 16 to 0 win, Bullitmagnet top scoring for *AUS* with 10 kills. A special mention to JBar with 18 kills for no deaths and his pilot Blacky for dragging him through the skys to get that result.
Good luck with the rest of your round games LostDivision - we know you guys had an off night and are confident we will see you again in the finals. |

Game 3 for us on the 16v16 GA ladder was played out tonight on Sharqi vs Australian Strike Soldiers.
We started the game as USMC and won the round by 55 tickets. It was full on. We were pushed back to the TV station about a quarter the way through the round but we got some guys in behind on the flags and saved ourselves a capout. Our Charlie squad took a fullon attack onto hotel and did well especially considering most of the squad were guys on their first night in a real GA game. And Ugg from bravo squad did some quick hotwiring work on the MEC tank and stole it from their outskirts base. JBar cleaned up behind using the mini gun of the Super Cobra and I think A$$ felt this and so put a big focus on denying us the chopper for the second round.
Round two as MEC A$$ sent a squad to camp our spawn at beachouse and so we basically decided give up on the MEC chopper, not an easy decision as it is a HUGE asset and its not something we wanted to give away to the enemy. This forced our hand and really made the decision for us – we had to go the capout. And that we did, with 95 tickets left on the clock we secured the last flag over TV station and Hotel and then hunted the remaining guys down. The last being in the choppers. They did a bail over City Entrance however they couldn’t cap the flag and so the game was done.
Onwards and Upwards for *AUS* with a convincing win. Thanks A$$ and good luck with the rest of your season. |
Chopper wars vs Outlaws -- Posted by bullitmagnet on Tuesday, January 9 2007 |
Tonight the *AUS* Flyboys team flew their first round 1 game in the Chopper Only Ladder being run by the DeltaBrotherhood clan.
As a pilot ive logged over 100 hours in ranked servers and probably the same again in unranked and can say truthfully that was the most intense chopper v chopper fight I’ve EVER seen. We flew against an OL air crew of 4 who go fly under the {HeliWhores} banner.
The rollout at the start as China for us was straight forward, we had a bit of a plan and a formation we were sticking too and quickly found the enemy. Anyone on team speak at the time of this engagement will be able to tell you just how full on it was. The pressure was immense. TV’s flying everywhere, misfires, folding fin rockets, barrel roles and cart wheels and all kinds of aerial acrobatics made for quite an interesting battle. We, the *AUS*Flyboys were under the pump but our gunners pulled some great shots at the end that won us the round.
Round 2 as US wasn’t quite as exciting, the crew of the Reactor Tower chopper, JBar and Blacky didn’t even see fit to die once that round. Barra and Bullitmagnet in chopper two were a little less fortunate and seemed to get picked on by both choppers at once, but only died the one time on a cracker of a shot by eclipse7. GG {HeliWhores} and all the best for your future round 1 games. Hope to see you in the finals.

GA match vs JW -- Posted by bullitmagnet on Sunday, January 7 2007 |
Our march for a top placing in season 2 of the 16v16 game continues with a victory over JW on Dalian Plant. A good US rollout and some good squad work that won us all the flags we initially wanted and allowed us to push in on our objective. Even up against the superior air power of the J-10 we won the first round by 92 and were looking forward to having some fun with the J-10 ourselves in the next round.
Again a solid rollout and some effective air support meant we took all the flags within about half the round time which allowed us to go on out and attack the uncapable flag on the carrier. The round ended quickly after that. Game score 225-0 Nice work JW and all the best with your Season 2, look forward to seeing you again on the field |
