The *AUS* Lan took place in Campbelltown this weekend, although it was an incredibly disappionting turn out GeminiWraith and myself had an absolute blast, playing a wide variety of games and drinking a large quantity of rum/bourbon.

Both of us are looking forward to something bigger and better next year, as are most of the clan.

Well the silly season is almost over so its time to fill everyone in on some clan news.

Mid December we kicked off our internal match system called "Warzone" it involves 3 factions fighting over pieces of Iraq for supreme control. Its a great little idea thought up by PommyDog, so as to keep ourselves interested and practiced until Gamearena launch their BF2 ladder.

Late December, nothing happened. It was Christmas and everyone went AFK for some well earned holidays.

Early January EA decided to announce the release of something called a "booster pack." Don't quite understand why we should pay for a pack that adds very little to the game, as far as I can see it only adds things that were intended for original release. But that's just my POV.

Gamearena have sort of finally announced that a ladder may possible be starting sooner rather than later. They really haven't stated a date yet, but at least something’s happening.

The ladder has also been opened up for some freeplay action. Last night (Monday 16th Jan 06) saw us come up against CAS in a freeplay match on Sharqi Peninsula. A damn close game, with lots of action both in and out of the game. Well done to CAS for their win.

Later on this month we have the annual *AUS* LAN. This is a huge event for *AUS* as it is one of the few chances for all the divisions to get together for beers and games. Hope to see all you current and ex *AUS* members there.
